Rachel joined Chambers in 2020 after completing her pupillage with Mr. Law Man-Chung SC, Mr. Giles Surman, Mr. Marco Li and Mr. Wong Chi-Kwong. In the same year, she was awarded the Charles Ching Scholarship.
Prior to joining Chambers, Rachel obtained her Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from the University of Sheffield and subsequently her Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford.
As an avid mooter, Rachel represented the University of Sheffield in both UK-wide and international competitions, including the Oxford International Intellectual Property Law Moot 2016. She also served as the Mooting Secretary of the Edward Bramley Law Society at Sheffield and offered advocacy training to members.
Rachel is developing a broad practice and accepts instructions in all areas of work. She has experience either as a led junior or a sole advocate in the Court of Appeal, the Court of First Instance, the District Court and the Magistrates’ Courts. She has also appeared as a sole advocate in the Coroner’s Court.
In 2021/2022, Rachel was a part-time lecturer (non-clinical) of the University of Hong Kong teaching Medical Law and Ethics for the Master of Laws.
