Court of First Instance considered when a civil case should be stayed pending parallel criminal investigation

30 December 2019 -- In Yu Quan Li and Anor v Suen Kin Wing [2019] 5 HKLRD 316 the Court of First Instance considered the principles governing an application for stay of a civil claim pending parallel criminal investigations, including the relevance of the inroad to the right to remain silent.  Tony Ko (led by Rimsky Yuen SC) appeared for the Defendant.
